In order to meet the high demands of this project (high altitudes with heavy icing, complex terrain and study of icing phenomenon), we installed:
– A heavy duty 80m lattice mast (model H600 with solid rod legs)
– Thies ultrasonic anemometers
– Ice Monitor detector by Combitech
– Mobotix camera connected with ftp server sending HD image every 10’.
– RH sensors, temperature sensors and rain gauge for detecting meteorological icing
– Heated, unheated and heavy duty alpine anemometers.
Team work and good collaboration with local telecom partner was very important for the success of the project.
