Our company attended a seminar organized by the world famous scientific company Vaisala , regarding Dual Scanning Lidars and the opportunities it provides for the wind potential assessment in offshore wind farms.
We were informed in depth about the benefits of this new technology, its particularities as well as the optimal way to apply it.
In summary, by installing two Scanning Lidars at two special selected locations on land and synchronizing their scanning, the method creates virtual met masts within the sea area of interest.
